Nedergaard with article on Social Democrat's immigration policy
Professor Peter Nedergaard contributes with an article on LSE.com with the title “Out of the liberal policy morass? How Denmark’s Social Democrats might reshape the country’s approach to immigration”. The Party has adapted a new more restrictive immigration policy with ideas of setting up reception-centres outside of the EU in collaboration with other countries. Nedergaard argues that the new policies are an extension of historical policies formed by the Social Democrats. He believes that the social-democratic parties across Europe could benefit from a new stance on immigration policy inspired by the Danish initiative, if the parties want to gain bigger influence.
