Wiebke Marie Junk is a PhD fellow at the Department of Political Science. She is part of the GovLis Project (www.govlis.eu), which assesses conditions for government responsiveness to public opinion and interest groups. Anne Rasmussen, who heads the GovLis project, is her supervisor.

Current research

Wiebke's current research addresses the role of interest groups in policy processes in Europe. In particular, her PhD project looks at coalition behaviour between interest groups and evaluates the effects of different types of cooperation between lobbyists on their ability to reach policy makers and attain policy preferences.


More generally, her research interests include comparative politics, European Union (EU) and global governance, and democratic participation. 


So far, Wiebke's work appeared in Journal of European Public Policy (JEPP) and European Journal of International Relations (EJIR).


She has taught courses on Institutions, Policy Processes and Policies in the EU, International Public Adminstration and Advanced Methods in EU Studies.
