Wiebke Marie Junk is a PhD student at the Department of Political Science. She is affiliated with the GovLis Project (www.govlis.eu), which assesses conditions for government responsiveness to public opinion. Anne Rasmussen, who heads the GovLis project, is her supervisor.
Wiebke's current research addresses the roles of public interest groups as potential intermediaries between publics and governments. In particular, her PhD project will look at coalition behaviour of European interest groups and assess effects on their ability to reach policy makers and publics.
More generally, her research interests include EU and global governance, democratic participation and legitimacy, and transnational civil society.
So far, Wiebke's work appeared in Journal of European Public Policy and European Journal of International Relations.
