Adler-Nissen & Holm contribute to EU foreign policy scorecard

ADLER-NISSEN, HOLM, ECFR, EU FOREIGN POLICY, SCORECARD

The Think Tank ECFR, European Council on Foreign Relations, has recently published its annual scorecard on EU foreign policy. Associate Professor Rebecca Adler-Nissen and Research Coordinator Majka Holm from CEP have made the Danish contribution.

In general, Denmark has been supportive of the EU’s 2013 foreign policy strategy and played an active role in the fields of development aid and humanitarian assistance - also in regard to the Syrian refugees.

What is ECFR?
ECFR is an independent European think tank, which since 2010 on an annual basis has worked out scorecards assessing the EU foreign policy on 6 key areas: the EU’s relations to USA, China, Russia and the MENA region respectively as well as the neighbouring countries to the east, including the Western Balkans and Turkey. Furthermore, the EU’s line of action in multi-lateral fora is evaluated. The evaluation is partly built upon comprehensive research work being carried out at the EU-level and partly relies on contributions from the individual member states’ foreign policy in the 6 key areas. The member state contributions are drawn up by national researchers on the basis of thorough data collections. The Danish contribution is worked out by CEP’s Associate Professor Rebecca Adler-Nissen and Research Coordinator Majka Holm.
